We want every Modern Greeting to feel effortless and magical — from the first tap to the final smile. If your tag isn’t playing your custom video or audio message just yet, don’t worry! A quick check of your phone’s settings usually does the trick.

  • Most phones can read NFC tags automatically, but a few need a quick settings check.

    Here’s what to try:

    1. Make sure NFC is on

      • iPhone: NFC works automatically on iPhone 7 or newer — no settings to change. Just hold the top edge of your phone near the tag.

      • Android: Open Settings → Connections (or Connected Devices) → NFC and switch it ON.

    2. Find your phone’s “sweet spot”

      • On iPhones, the NFC reader is near the top edge.

      • On most Androids, it’s around the center or upper back of the phone.
        Try moving your phone slowly over the tag until you feel a vibration or see a link pop up.

    3. Unlock your screen

      • NFC only works when your phone is awake and unlocked.

    • If you’re using a thick or metal phone case, try removing it — it can block the signal.

    • Hold your phone still for a second or two after tapping.

    • Make sure you have an internet connection — your message plays online.

  • If your greeting played before and suddenly stopped:

    • Double-check that your phone’s NFC is still turned on.

    • Try restarting your phone — it resets the NFC reader.

    • If you recently updated your message, give it a few minutes to refresh.

  • Yes! Our tags are completely passive and secure — they can’t collect data or interact with your device beyond opening your custom link.
